I need a little help.
I'm trying to get the unique text values (column C of the attached file), depending on column B that contains numeric values - the calendar date.
Finally, I want to get something like: for date 01/09/2017 - unique text values (name), for date 02/09/2017 - unique text (name), ..... etc.
I tried the formula in this tutorial https://exceljet.net/formula/count-u...-with-criteria but something I get rid of ...

e7 =IF(COUNTIF($D$7:$D7,$D7)=1,"yes","no")
after that a pivot table.
The result is 35 for 01-09 and the result is 35 for 04-09

thx. but in september -01.09.2017 are 17 unic text value not 35 - see formula in f7.... i find this tutorial https://www.get-digital-help.com/201...eria-in-excel/ but i dont know how to adapt to my case.

your right, my result is not OK.
It should be 24 and 22.
I added a slicer to get the result.
Please explain why you think the result should be 17.
Please show that 17 names manualy in your file.
Or try this:
=SUM(IF(B7:B76=B4,1/COUNTIFS(B7:B76,B4,C7:C76,C7:C76)))

You're right. My value is not correct. Your result is correct .... but how can I have the same result without pivot tables and slicer?

You formula will work, but probably not in the Excel 2003 version, since countifs is not available in that version.
