Hi,
I like that when I press 'Enter' the selected cell moves downwards. However, at times it randomly decides to change the direction it moves in. It has been known to move left, right or up when I press 'Enter' rather than down, even changing direction when part way through using/building a spreadsheet. I know how to change this back so it moves downwards but it still, randomly, changes direction.
Does anyone know how to stop this as it's very annoying!

1. Do you have any VBA behind your worksheet? (Is someone playing with you - troll?)
2. In Options - Advanced - Editing Options - After Pressing Enter, move selection .. Is how you change this direction default.
3. Is your worksheet protected so the "next" cell might not be available and this is causing your confusion?

1. No, this can occur on a blank workbook
2. Indeed, that I knew and have to change every time this issue occurs
3. No, occurs on unprotected sheets
OK then,
Do you have the ability to program your keyboard to macros? This is my best guess.
Do you have any Keyboard software that might be playing with your keystrokes? Look at Task Manager to see what else is running.
I'm expecting you are using Windows PC and not a Mac?
