    PowerQuery: Results as references?

    Hello,

I have a power query with a table in the same worksheet as a source.
The resulting table contains "fixed" values, i.e. "1", "2", "asd" or so.
Is is possible to get the values in the resulting table as references to the cells in the source table, like "=A25"?

    Thank you very much!

    Requin

Your QueryTable is referenced to source table
change something in source then refresh query table (right click on QT and refresh)

    Re: PowerQuery: Results as references?

Thank you, but I really need to have the reference formula in the resulting table, as I intend to further process this reference link in a macro.

This means that I have to have the resulting table with references to the source cells (e.g. "=A25"), not just with the source cell's value.

Does anybody know how to achieve this?

you can do that manually but after refresh QT your formula will disappear and original data from source will be back

PQ and M language working on data not formula

Hum... so is there a way that the query itself delivers me reference formulas to the source table (e.g. "=A25"), or is ist just possible to have the source tables' values?

this is ETL and all quasi-formulas, function you can define in M-language but it is working on queries not on source data/table. Everything is inside PQ.
one thing what you can do with source is change data (manually , by formula, whatever) and it will be reflected in QueryTable.

    example:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
red text in a one and only one connection to the source table

you can try to play with VBA but IMHO it doesn't make sense
