    conditional formating compare duplicat values

IN THE ATTACHED FILE CONDITIONAL FORMATING WITH FORMUL IS APPLIED IN COLUMN A & B
WHEN I ENTERED SAME FIGURE IN COLUMN A & B THEN IT'S COLOUR BECOME RED
BUT WHEN I INSERT SAME FIGURE TWO TIME IN COLUMN A THAT'S ALSO BECOME RED
I DON'T WANT THAT , ONLY COMPARE FIGURE OF A COLUMN WITH B COLUMN
you can see example of value 544.3 in attached it means 544.3 in a column A become red only
    one time

Re: conditional formating compare duplicat values

Delete all the conditional formatting rule first then

Select column A and put conditional formatting rule =ISNUMBER(MATCH($A1,$B:$B,0))

Select column B and put conditional formatting rule =ISNUMBER(MATCH($B1,$A:$A,0))

    Check the attached file.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Re: conditional formating compare duplicat values

as you can see in that file i only entered 618 manualy in that file so it is
become red but remaining values i copy paste from another file so it did not become red
for example 37944 that value i copy from another file so it did not become red

Re: conditional formating compare duplicat values

The numbers in A1:A17 are rational (have decimal components) while the numbers in B1:B13 are natural numbers. Try using the following modification of shukla's formula for the conditional formatting rule for column A:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Try using this modification of shukla's formula for the conditional formatting rule for column B:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
