    Auto updating of Sheet

    Hi all,
    I have a doubt kindly help me in solving the issue.
    I am Having a excel sheet, Eg: Name of the sheet "GOT"
    I had send this to my friend , so that he could fill the essential data's
    After completion he had send me the file back through email.

    My doubt is, Is there any option available with in excel 2007 for automatic updating the master sheet, so that the other user only needs to fill & the "GOT" master sheet gets updated automatically there by saving him from sending the mail.

    Kindly comment on this issue.

    Welcome to the forum!

    The most common way of doing this sort of thing nowadays is to use a shared cloud account (e.g. OneDrive or DropBox) - is this a feasible option for you?

    hi ma'am,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Can you explain a little bit? . Suppose i uploaded the file in the dropbox and given the link to him then he fills and saves it right. so again do i need to go in dropbox download the updated file or will the master template will get updated automatically without the need for going to dropbox.

    The way it works with OneDrive or DropBox is this:

    1. Create an account (in one or the other) and share the logon credentials with your colleague.
    2. Both of you need to install the software to your machines and log in to the account.
    3. You will see a OneDrive or DropBox folder on your computer - copy the relevant document into that folder and then work on it from that location - you need to be connected to the Internet so that the document synchronises on each machine when you save it.
    4. You both now have access to the synchronised document.
