So I have a sheet with some values that is for example on C3 the formula could be (=Pots!C6) and I want to copy these formulas on to another sheet. But if I do that the formula I copy ot the other sheet will change formula to ='[2018 FIFA World Cup Qualification (UEFA).xlsx]Pots'!C6. I want it that when it copies it will stay (=Pots!C6) and not refer to the other sheet, and yes I have a sheet called Pots on both of the excel sheets.
Edit the formula and put a single quote in front of the equals sign (so it will be considered Text, not a formula). Then copy it to where you want it. Edit the copy and remove the quote. Copy the formula down as required.

- select source cell
- copy
- go to the target sheet
- right click and paste formula
