Wraped text row fit on merged cells

    Hi all,

is there a way to setup auto column height adjust if in a merged cells a longer text is inserted? Presuming that the merged cells have "Wrap text" setup, i need every time i enter longer text, the row height to adjust so the whole text is visible. This setup should apply to the given workbook, no mater of the setup on the given PC.

Attached is an example of the "Starting view" (how the text is now in the excel sheet), and the "Required view" (how i need the cells to look like).

    thank you
    Igor

A bit of advice for using merged cells: NEVER merge cells.

    There you are.

You can either remove the merged cells and use autofit, or you can have merged cells and adjust heights manually.

hi igormigor, as an alternative for merged cells you might consider look into "Center Across Selection" alignment which could achieve same outcome

i'd prefer to connect your texts with cells, which have width=merged cells width and apply to them rows.autofit.

    alvin-chung and tim201110
    both of your advice's worked.

At the end i will use alvin-chung approach with simple refresh of the page. It will decrease the complexity of my input sheet.

    thank you
