Creating reduced or expanded view

Hi there,

I have attached some sample data my team product each month and there is lots of information per segment and there are lots of segments so this data is just one massive boring spread sheet.
I want some sort of magical button that says 'detailed view' and 'summary view' or similar function underneath each segment title (Column A) and when pressed it hides or unhides the rows I've highlighted in grey.

Or even just one button at the top which hides or unhides all the selected columns for all segments.

Select column B goto =>data and select Filter, under the filter there is an option to filter by color

Hi Dave,

The functionality isn't for me really, it's for end users and the data in grey was only to demonstrate which rows I wanted to hide/unhide. They are not actually grey in the real dataset.

As it's an end-user spreadsheet (excel being used in lieu of reporting software) I'm looking for something as simple as a button for them to hit.

You can try with additional column with filter (this is idea only)

Is there logic to what you want hidden?

You didn't define any rule which row(s) should be hidden, so?

The rows I wanted hidden were the highlighted ones in grey

There is still no logic for what rows you wanted hidden, you could have easily gotten that code using your macro recorder.
