Dynamic Cell Range within SUMPRODUCT/SUMIF formula

    Dear all,

I require a dynamic cell range within the SUMPRODUCT/SUMIF formula so that I can sum up the sales for a product if it is defined both individually and within a portfolio (Adidas) and Portfolio (Adidas/Nike) within the calculation table.

    =SUMPRODUCT(SUMIF(D:D,H4:H5,E:E))

As shown in the screenshot, H4:H5 comes from the Product-Portfolio table and the range is defined based on the Portfolio Name.

    Can anyone advise on this?

    Thanks!

Thanks all for the replies! Perhaps I have not been clear.

I have a table defining the product to portfolio tagging. The portfolio name may not be based on a product name and "/" string combination in every case.

Also, there is a long list of entry in the Product-Portfolio table and the entry may not be in order.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.

    Hi Shuklar,

It works in that simple example, but not when the data gets longer as shown in the attached file.
