Excel form: row and column dependant

    Hi,

I would like to know if the following is possible within excel:

I would like to create a form with 3 fields:

    A) a dropdownbox based on the row headers (first column has pe all available dates in which a change can take place)
    B) a dropdownbox based on the column headers (can be more than 100 columns)
    C) a blank field in which the value of COlumn B on Date A can be filled in.

The result should, off course, be filled in in the cell with coördinates A and B.

Is this possible, knowing my knowledge in Excel VBA is practically zero.

    thanx in advance,

    H

    Welcome to the forum!

What you require can be done formulaically or using VBA: which do you want?

I’d prefer without VBA, due to my lack of knowledge.

I do know my wat around with formulas

I am having a hard time visualizing what you want. It somewhat sounds like you would either like a cell to display the combined results of two drop downs, or display manually filled data. Is that anywhere near what you are looking for? If not could you provide a small sample.
