Setting up cell formating in template

Hi from a first time poster

I like to see my numbers in excel in a custom format - using comma plus red for negatives:
#,##0;[Red](#,##0)

When I set up a new worksheet, I usually re-format cells in this manner. Does anyone know how I can either:
- set up my excel so that this is the default format
- set up a customer format in the "custom format" box in the middle of the home ribbon
