Need help index and match over multiple sheets

I'm looking for a formula to index and match over multiple sheets and return a value. I've attached an example of what I want to happen. On sheet 1, cell B1 will say todays date. I would like cells B2, B3, B4, etc.. to search the all the sheets in the workbook, look for todays date and return the names of the people below those dates.

In the example todays date is 2/19/18, cell B2 returns the first name that is listed below 2/19/18 from the February 18 tab. Cell B3 would do the next one and so on. Is this possible?

Sounds like that would be a painfully long formula that is prone to break (and obviously you would want to be able to add sheets etc.

Maybe if i understand you correctly this in vba
