    Mirror sheets with different views

    Hi
I want to use a Excel worksheet as a master for detailed information. The master worksheet has many rows and columns.
When data is published for customers, I would like to use additional (secondary) worksheets, which filter the rows and columns of the master. The row and column filtering would remain constant for each secondary worksheet, but the data in the master could change over time. So each secondary worksheet would be a mirror of the master, but with certain rows and columns hidden. Changes to values in the master should be automatically reflected in the secondary worksheets.
Formatting of values in the cells of the master should be preserved in the secondaries.
If a row or column is deleted from the master, then it should automatically no longer appear in the secondaries.
If a row is added to the master, then it should be reflected in the secondaries. If the new master row (or column) was added within a range of rows (or columns) that is hidden in a secondary, then the new row should also be hidden in that secondary.
Is it possible to do this? Any other suggestions? Please help!

in short: Data - From Table - (you'll see query table on the right side, right click and edit or double click, then prepare your new table, then load to the new worksheet)

without any example it's hard to say more...

Re: Mirror sheets with different views

    Hi again,
I've managed to set up this connection now. Thank you for your help.
When the files are placed on my local machine. The refresh function is working fine. But when uploading to a sharepoint and using excel online I get a warning saying Be careful. This workbook contains one or more queries that might be unsafe. Do you want to enable these queries > yes
External Data Refresh Failed. We were unable to refresh one or more data connection from this workbook. The following connection failed to refresh > refers to the connection I setup.
is there any way to get around this. I have no restrictions to the main document setup. And everyone should be able to read it.
    Thanks.

Isn't it just a case of having the source files on Sharepoint, too?

The source file is on the sharepoint in the same folder. And the connection between them has been setup on the sharepoint so the path is right.
