Default Zoom Level for new workbooks and sheets

    Hi,

I would like to set my default zoom level for all new workbooks and sheets to 80%.

    Is this possible?

Re: Default Zoom Level for new workbooks and sheets

Thanks Sandy, but I don't want to change the zoom on particular workbooks, just new ones that I create. Just like I have a default font, I would like a default zoom.

Can I edit the default template? I've tried adding in a custom template with Zoom set to 80%, which works if I open it directly, but if I select a new document from Excel it doesn't use this template.

This should also be the default zoom for new sheets as well.

There is no option within Excel to change the default zoom for Excel files.

    You can try with add-in

The book template is only used if you use Ctrl+N or the new workbook button. If you use File-New workbook, then it is ignored.
