Dynamic Date Range for a line graph

Excel Gurus and Gods,

I need help with a problem I have in regards to a graph I created in excel. What I am trying to do is be able to customize the date range... The current table contains data from 1/2009 - 2/2018... Currently, If I wanted to see the graph from periods 1/2017 - 2/2018 then I would have to go to select data and change the range of the data. Is there an easier/user friendly way to do this?

I would use filters for this:

1) Make a transposed copy of the table, so that dates are in the leftmost column. Base chart on transposed table.
2) Set up the autofilter on the transposed table. https://www.wikihow.com/Use-AutoFilter-in-MS-Excel
2a) In the "date" dropdown, select Date Filters -> Between -> Fill in start and end dates.
3) As data are hidden in the table, the data will be hidden in the chart (if not, check the "hidden and empty cells" setting the source data dialog).

From there, everything is controlled by the filter settings/dropdowns.

Is that a workable solution?
