Formatting Cells for Times

Hello,

I have trouble figuring out how to format cells for total time or adding times together.

In EMP108 cells J19:J21 I have odd results and the cells are now formatted to [h]:mm

If I format those cells to h:mm for all of the EMP sheets I get different results.

They all don't seem to work either way with varied results.

Also in EMP103 and EMP104 I put comment on row times not adding up right but the total is correct.

I hope someone can explain how these times can better be recorded and added so they all are accurate.

This is the same problem as before. If you continue to refuse to round these numbers, your will always have these discrepancies. Modify your formulae as described:

Glenn I am sorry to be trouble but I did that and in EMP108 it still has weird results. I attached the changes can you take a look please?

Look at the entries in Log. As I pointed out to you previously, these are still a mix of times and date/times. EITHER you need to ensure that ONLY times are entered, or all the formulae based on the time entries will have to be changed. the ones that show (with the formatting that I have applied as being on January 0th 1900, have been entered as TIMES, all the rest have been entered as Date/Times

I am trying to change all of the columns to h:mm AM/PM on the Log sheet.

When I go to the highlighted cells in EMP108 they are different than the other EMP columns.

I am not purposely avoiding your advice. In fact I want to do what you say.

I must be messing up something or not formatting correctly.

Am I formatting in the wrong area?

I want the log to display times like 9:05 AM or 1:30 PM

Glenn I fixed the issue and it was very weird. I had to enter a time in the log and copy and paste in the whole area in order to keep the cell as:

12:05:00 PM

I really do appreciate the help and I was trying my best to resolve the problems.
