Before, if I input 02/19 + enter, Excel would automatically populate the cell with 02/19/2018. Now, it's defaulting the year to 1931 instead of the current year, i.e. 02/19/1931. What did I do? Any help is appreciated.

1. Does entering 2/19/18 return the correct value?
2. If not, does 2/19/2018 return the correct value?
3. Is your system date correct?
(I had this problem over 20 years ago - when the sytem date was not as visible as it is now - sometimes the date was correct, other times it was way out - it was caused by the aging tiny round internal battery on the motherboard not retaining its charge over a weekend!)
4. Are you on Windows10?
5. Try creating a new Excel file. Does the same behaviour occur?

Thank you for the response and for my late reply. I figured out that I was entering a date that does not exist, such as 9/31/2018. When I do that, the year defaults to 1930-something. As long as I enter a good date, it's fine.
Again, thank you.
