Exclamation Conditional formatting to highlight cell that matches same cell in different sheet

    Hello all,

Here is my challenge: I have a spreadsheet made up of 5 different sheets. Four of these sheets represent a different company (Company A, B, C, & D) and show their prices for a range of products at a range of quantities. I then have 1 sheet called “LOWEST PRICE” that pulls whatever price is lowest from Company A, B, C, or D.

The problem is that on the “LOWEST PRICE” sheet I have no way of determining which company that price is being pulled from. I would like to use conditional formatting to highlight each price so that I know which company it is coming from.

Here is a link to a simplified version of the spreadsheet so you can see what I am talking about:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1897804026

I realize I could just check manually, but my finalized spreadsheet is going to be a lot more complex and I am hoping I can get this conditional formatting to work. I have been able to get it to work for Company A, but not for the rest of the companies.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

Welcome to the forum! Please take a moment to re-read forum rule #1 and then amend your thread title to something that better explains your problem. Changing your thread title is not optional, which means you must change it. Thanks!

    • Use concise, accurate thread titles.
    • Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.
    • Use terms appropriate to a Google search - poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice tell us nothing.
    • Responding to a request to change your thread title by doing so is mandatory.

To change a title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title.

No help to be offered, please, until the OP complies with this request.

    Hi Derek

You posted this to another forum as well where I supplied a solution but it didnt work.
You mentioned Google Sheets which I dont know much about.

This problem looks like it's still open as my solution didn't work.
