Impossible XLMS to CSV conversion with Cyrillic. Can someone help out?

    Hello All,

I have the following sample file attached that contains 5 names with addresses, emails and phones.
When I save as CSV, I get "????" or "________" where the Cyrillic names and addresses are.
File must be in CSV in order to upload to CRM. I tried this on a mac.

I tried these instructions but they did not work. Can you be a genius and tell me how to convert this...
Save the exported file as a csv
    Open Excel
Import the data using Data-->Import External Data --> Import Data
Select the file type of "csv" and browse to your file
In the import wizard change the File_Origin to "65001 UTF" (I also tried UTF 8 or choose correct language character identifier but there is no Bulgarian language specifically)
    Change the Delimiter to comma
Select where to import to and Finish

    1. File\Save as
    2. Save as type\Unicode text (*.txt)
    3. Tools\Web options
    4. Coding tab\Unicode (UTF-8)
    5. Fonts tab\Cyrillic or Multilingual script
    6. Save\Ok
I did not find anything else at my place - '.txt' file only.

But you can change the extension to '.csv' ...

    Edit:
Didn't you think to do it with a macro ?

There is one way without a macro, look at the attachment, sheet 'Sheet 2'.

There is a formula there, but with semicolons, because in the 'G' column you use commas as inserts, not separators.
Please Login or Register to view this content.
A comma is normally used as a column separator. You must decide on some separator.

    1. Copy the formula to as many rows as you need
    2. Select the data and choose the copy option and simply copy it
    3. Create an empty text file ('.txt') on the disk in any location
    4. Paste the copied data
    5. Choose File => Save As => Encoding = Unicode / UTF-8
    6. Save = > Ok
    7. Change the file extension '.txt' to '.csv'

Thank you veru much Porucha Vevrku, I will try that also.
It may be something to do with the CRM that I upload to.
