Need help with files, is it possible to fix these files?

    Greeting folks!

I am wondering if there are possible solutions to this problem. Our biggest issue is the data fields are all over the place, and defaults at that. I would appreciate any input.

    * Attaching sample FILE A, and FILE B
    * We want to remove entries from FILE A with no matching identifiers in FILE B (highlighted entry in FILE A sample in red not found in FILE B).
    * After removing entries from FILE A, we want to align row values (we have current FILE A and then next to it is how we want FILE A to be).
    * It would be impossible for us to do it row by row because the master list has over 100,000 rows.

    Many thanks in advance!

    Ed.

I have looked at your files - have you have provided all the possible scenarios?
Are there any other item related fee types etc?

    Are these rules correct:

    For each combination of
    Identifier1 and Identifier2....

    Qty
    - SUM
    Pack fee
    - SUM
    Commission
    - SUM
Price amount (the largest value appears to be the sum of everything else)
Is the sum illustrative detritus (I would not expect to see a formula in the underlying data)
    - makes deriving the value more tricky if we cannot simply SUM

3 values for D - one being the sum of the other 2

    Hi!

First off I want to thank you for taking the time to read through my file.

    1. The sum value for D (104.85 under, E17) that you pointed out is not part of the raw file. I don't know why I forgot to clear that cell. My apologies for the confusion, but "Principal" is always in line with a value under column E
    2. The "2" value under B20 corresponds to 69.9 (basically 34.95 multiplied by 2) under E16.
    3. There are in fact other scenarios. Please see attached. There are probably more, as the entry depends on buying behavior e.g. adding 2 the same units to the cart, or adding 1 unit each of different items. I have 3 files with a combined row length of 190,000.

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)

Once you have changed your thread title, please amend your MS Office version in your profile to show what you are using - instructions in post #2 above.

Also, please don't quote whole posts, especially when you are responding to the one immediately preceding your own - it's just clutter. It's OK to quote if you are responding to a post out of sequence, but limit quoted content to a few relevant lines that makes clear to whom and what you are responding. Thanks!
