Faster way to sort/filter?

Hey,

I have a column of data in which I have unique values highlighted. I want to sort or filter this data so all the unique values will be together. Problem is, the data set contains 500,000+ rows and sort and filter options both take around 18 hours to sort/filter by color. I am running deca-core server w/64 gb of ram, so its not hardware issue, excel is just slow at sorting this much data.

Is there an alternative to advanced filter/filter/sort in which I can group these unique values quicker?

One option if you want to go there is to import the data into an Access database then do a group by query but color of a cell will not mean anything to access.
