I have an excel spreadsheet with images in to the same folder that are viewed via a hyperlink cell in the spreadsheet. I want to put this on a CD/DVD. How can I do it so the CD drive (in the hyperlink address) is generic so people I distribute the CD to can see the images no mater what the drive letter of their CD drive is?
It's a simple 2007 Excel spreadsheet. One of the cells has the name of an image in the same folder as the spreadsheet.
It works fine when I click on that hyperlink during development, as long as it's on my computer or in the same drive, folder and sub-folder on another computer.
I want to burn the spreadsheet and all of the images to the root directory of a CD/DVD.
How do I encode the hyperlink (with a relative address) to the images so they are drive independent?
i.e. So someone with their CD drive called E: and someone else with their CD drive called G: etc. can click on the hyperlink in the spreadsheet and see the image without getting an error saying the file cannot be found???
