Vlookup not returning an accurate result

    Hello All!

I've got a problem that has been driving me nuts for a while now and have finally given in to defeat.. I'm working on our bonus plan excel files and I have a vlookup to a payment table that I just cant figure out. About 99% of the time our metrics have an achievement that the table works great for, however, whenever the achievement is right at a gate, the formula returns an incorrect result (i.e. exactly 85% achievement is returning a result of 64.5% payment when it should be 65%, I've gone through all of the numbers and I can't figure out why it's not working!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cool Re: Vlookup problem driving me mad

    maybe try this with Control+Shift+Enter
    =INDEX($B$5:$B$304,MATCH(ROUND($E$2,3),ROUND($A$5:$A$304,3),0))
    or this
    =SUMPRODUCT(($A$5:$A$304=$E$2)*$B$5:$B$304) normal entered

Re: Vlookup problem driving me mad

Welcome to the forum! Please take a moment to re-read forum rule #1 and then amend your thread title to something that better explains your problem. Changing your thread title is not optional, which means you must change it. Thanks!

    • Use concise, accurate thread titles.
    • Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.
    • Use terms appropriate to a Google search - poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice tell us nothing.
    • Responding to a request to change your thread title by doing so is mandatory.

To change a title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title.

No help to be offered, please, until the OP complies with this request.
