find largest number in range and add 1

Hi,

I posted this yesterday on a different forum and I got exactly what I wanted but now I've realised I need it modifying a little more please.

I added the +1 to give me the next number after the largest in the range. It works but only if the number entered is greater than the largest number in the range.

If the entered number is smaller than the largest number in the range then the code returns the largest number, not the largest number +1.

Please can someone help me so if the entered number is smaller it returns the largest number +1.

Hi BSB,

I just created a new test sheet to show you my problem but the code worked correctly, so I deleted all the data in the range on my original sheet and started again and now it too is working correctly.
I'll never get to grips with excel lol
