Excel 2016 Opening Sheets in Different Excel Instances

    Hello,

I am trying to find a way to force Excel to open sheets in a new instance of Excel each time.
I am aware of holding down <Alt> to be prompted to open in a new instance and there are a couple of registry fixes that I have found but they down work for shortcuts.

Is there any command that I can add to a shortcut that will force the system to open in a new instance of Excel (like you can do with internet shortcuts ro force the system to use Chrome / IE / Firefox)..??

    Thanking you in advance.

Thanks for the quick response but that doesn't work. Tried adding it to the 'Target' and 'Start In' sections within the properties of my shortcut but both errored when trying to save the changes.

You'll have to create a new shortcut to Excel and then add those parameters to it. The full path will be something like
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE" /x C:\foldername\filename.xlsx
