    Power Query- Merge column missing

    Hello!

Im having a strange issue when attempting to merge two queries. On the step directly preceding my merge step, the columns are displaying as shown in my first screen shot.

When I go to merge, and it gives me the tables to select my columns, the columns that display in the table are completely different, shown in second screenshot. Im completely certain that I am looking at the same query that I am selecting when merging.

I cannot provide my files since I am working with confidential payroll data.

    Thank you for any assistance!
