    Open up a blank word document when I open Excel

    Is it possible to open a blank MS Word document whenever I open a specific Excel file ?

    Use the Workbook_Open macro to call the following NewWordDocument subroutine:

    @xlnitwit: very concise and effective. Shows how often I open a Word Document from Excel.

    How would you go about assigning that document to a variable so that you could refer to it later in your code?
