I work with mutiple different excel files that contain relativley the same information (just displayed differently for different puropeses). I am looking for a way to enter text into a cell on Workbook 1 and have that cell automatically copied to a corresponding cell in Workbooks 2, 3, 4 etc.
I am currentley using this formula to do so Workbook2 Cell C3 ='[Workbook1.xlsx]Tab1'!$C$3
My issue is I am looking for a way to do this same thing but instead of having the destination cell (ex Workbook2 Cell C3) = a formula (i.e. ='[Workbook1.xlsx]Tab1'!$C$3) I would like the desination cell to contain only the text from the source cell (i.e. Workbook2 Cell C3 = (text from Workbook 1 cell C3)).
I am looking for this functionality because my worksheets are often emailed to other people and if they don't have the source file (workbook 1) all they will see in workbooks 2, 3, 4, etc is the formula ='[Workbook1.xlsx]Tab1'!$C$3
I am open to all ideas.
