Counting total number of units installed

I have a row that lists numbers between 2019 and 2045. I am starting a project on a specific year and ending on a specific year. As an example, if I start the project in 2020 and I am going to install 100 units a year for 4 years. I want the cell below it to reflect the total number of units installed. For example: 2020 total would be 100, 2021 would be 200, 2022 would be 300, and 2023 would be 400.

It should look like this and be Dynamic so if I change the dates it will count the cells that apply.

    Try to do this

Consider range E2:AE2 as 2019 .. 2045, C3 as the start year and C4 the end year

Also consider that Unit Value is in A4 and the number of units per year is in B4

In E3 use the following formula and copy forward

In E4 use the following formula and copy forward

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

Did I handle it correctly the second time? I guess I didn't go back to the MRExcel and fix it there. I will get it right someday.

You posted a correct link on MrE for this thread, but now you need to post a link here back to MrE.
