    alternate copying of cells

    Hello everyone

I want to copy the values in columns A and B alternately into column D (see Excel file), so that column D looks like in the file. But this should happen automatically, because I would have to copy a lot of values in this way.
Is there a way to do this with a formula in Excel?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Re: alternate copying of cells

Thank you, that worked perfectly with the formulas.

Now I have a similar problem, but with three columns. Somehow the old solution doesn't seem to work. Can someone help me with that?

Columns A, B and C are to be used to create column E with formulas.

    Re: alternate copying of cells

As your needs are evolving I figure ill give you a sample that handles any number of columns.

See attached, take note it uses named ranges to help simplify the formula.

I am sure there are other approaches, like modifying the formula I already gave you to account for the extra x columns.
