Best course of action with large data file

I have a data file that is basically comprised 1 worksheet with raw data. It has roughly 108.000 rows of data.

I have probably 20 worksheets in the same workbook using Pivot tables looking at this 1 sheet of raw data.

The file is now about 93 MB. I can still work with it but it's slowing down.

What is the recommended best course of action? I have started making pivot tables in separate workbooks that point to the workbook with the raw data. Will this help keep the file size low?

Should I do a copy-paste of the raw data worksheet and just have that living as a single worksheet in its own workbook, and all pivot tables in separate workbooks looking at that 1 worksheet?

    Big...as in how many cells?
    55 columns & 108.000 rows

I have not moved it to a separate & stand-alone workbook yet. Wanted to hear if that would even work. That is why I reach out to the community.

Try create a copy of raw data sheet
    1. right click on tab
    2. move or copy
    3. create copy
    4. in to book drop-down select: new book

    save/close and check properties

55MB once the raw data worksheet is saved in a stand-alone workbook.

I guess this is the smallest it'll ever be.

I add about 2.000 rows of data every month.

    So far so good

I cannot help with reduce Raw Data (I hope there is only data without any formatting)
but use way from post #4 with every other tabs with Pivots (don't check Create Copy) but use New Book)
    this is easier way
More difficult is if you want stay with all pivots in one workbook and separate RawData

and work on copy of your original workbook

    Thanks.

I figured that was the way to go; just wanted to see if there was some trick I did not know.
