Convert daily sales data into monthly for many years

Hi Everyone,


I am hoping you may be able to help me,

I have a large data of Sales amounts sorted by daily dates....these dates look like: 12/11/2017 then 30/4/2015 etc ...
I want to group the sales by month for each year, Say ... total sale number for the month of Nov 2015 is ... , then total sale number for the month of Feb 2014 is ....

How can I do that in excel without the use of Pivot table?

I tried sumifs and even sumproduct but that did not work out .. I don't want to use pivot table because I can can not link it with other sheet...there should be someother ways other than the peviot table

but it was only for months of one year .. I want the same for multiple years not only one year

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
