attached is a file with a calendar form embedded in the VBE. There are three formats available. Click on Alt F8 to run each one.

Many thanks, I opened your sheet but what are the steps to add a drop down calender? Sorry, I am bit amateur in this regard

You will need a bit of VBA if you want an automatic pop-up in specific cells
Here is a simple example
- Test in attached file (alansidman's file with code below added)
- Select any cell A2 to A100 and (basic calendar) pop-up appears
- To find the code RightClick sheetTab \ ViewCode
