    Creating Labels Issue

    Hi All,

    I am looking for some ideas on how to solve a problem I have creating labels using data in a worksheet of 3 columns. The headers are "Colour", "Size" and "required" I want to be able to quickly print the data in the first 2 columns, and create the number of labels that is in the cell of the "required" cell. I can use mail merge, or formulas or macros to solve the problem but I looking for some general ideas on where to start and then I can flush it out from there.

    The net result I am looking for is that if the cells are 'blue large 3' then I would like to automatically print 3 labels

    I am banging my head against the wall on this for an idea on how to make this a less manual approach. Currently I am copying and pasting into a word label template one label at a time.

    I have attached an example of the worksheet. Please note this would be 50-100 rows of data at a time.

    Here is something that will produce a sheet suitable for mail merge.

    Copy / paste / type the label specification on the Label Specification Sheet. Click on the button.

    The Mail Merge sheet will have one record per requirement. In the example, you'll get 5 records for the label specified in row 2.

    A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

    This is awesome! Thanks so much.

    One question, is there a way for me to maintain the fact that items are uppercase in on the original worksheet? In the example I gave I didn't show this but in my actual data base it would be like the cell says "BLUE" but the label result is "blue".

    Easy fix?

    Sorry to bother you again. I made the edit and its working perfectly. I am struggling to add one more item to the label that I forgot about. There is one more row of data with the header location that I need to grab for the mail merge tab.

    Could you tell me how to edit the macro one more time to add the additional column?

    I uploaded the updated workbook.
