How do you ignore cells in pivot table source that are blank as the result of a formula?

I have a pivot table where some of the cells in the source data contain a formula that resolves to a blank cell. How can I make a pivot table that ignores these cells? All the "ignore blanks" techniques that I've seen assume the cells are completely empty. I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve removing blank rows in the source data. I attached a simple version that illustrates what I'm talking about.

EDIT: For some reason I can't add an attachment, as I have been able to do in the past. I thought if I posted this without it and then added it as an edit, that might work, but it didn't. What's more, I was going to delete this post until I resolved the attachment issue, but I see no way to do that. I'm a newbie to this forum, so sorry if I'm missing something obvious...

EDIT: For some reason I can't add an attachment,
To attach a file to your post: (Please no pics or screenshots ... saves retyping data.),
    • be sure to desensitize the data
    • click “Go Advanced” (next to Post Quick Reply – bottom right),
    • scroll down until you see “Manage Attachments”, click that,
    • click “Browse”.
    • select your file(s)
    • click “Upload”
    • click “Close window”
    • click “Submit Reply”

The file name will appear at the bottom of your reply.

    Another attempt at attaching file.

Edit: okay it worked. I was confused about the last step. So this file illustrates my question. I hope someone can offer some insight into it. Thanks.

Does the attached do what you want?

If yes it's done by just clicking the 'Row Labels' drop down and deselecting [blank].

Oh right... of course. I had hidden the filter dropdowns in the actual pivot table I was working on, so I didn't think of that. But I can show them again and do that. Thanks.
