I have an input sheet that contains names of ppl.
In "calc" sheet, I want those names to appear and sorted alphabetically - is that possible? I would prefer the formula as the name list will increase or decrease as each month passes by.
I have attached a sample - pls help and thx you!
Your MS-Off ver: 2010 or newer is better
Have you tried listing the names through a formula in that worksheet and then sort that column?
You will have to sort it every time you activate that sheet.
Another method would be recurring to a macro that reads the source and creates a new list every time

I suggest making the data range on the Input column an excel table simply because you can add data to it and any formulas, pivot tables and charts that reference it will point to the correct data automatically.
Otherwise overlay the data with a named dynamic range.
Either way use the table or the named range as a source for a pivot table. The pivot table will come out sorted.
