countif problem

hi all
countif in (column I ) give me no of times a room(column C) is been booked
need to know for how many total days(col F ) the room is been occupied

=SUMIF($C$2:$C$13,H2,$F$2:$F$13)

Are you looking for the formula to go into column J?
It would have been helpful to see the expected results which can be entered manually.

If you want the total number of days per room, try this in J2:

=SUMIF(C:C,H2,F:F)

Drag the formula down as far as needed.

Also, your profile says that you are using Excel 2003 but your workbook is a .xlsx which comes from Excel 2007 or newer.
