SUMPRODUCT not working

hi,
thanks in advance to everyone that looks at my post.
I have a formula that I want to use to count from a closed workbook and I think I have it working but it just returns a zero instead of a figure.


here's my formula: =SUMPRODUCT(('[Data Ops Progress - Radio P1801-P1810.xlsx]ACBC - Paper'!$A:$A=P1804)*( '[Data Ops Progress - Radio P1801-P1810.xlsx]ACBC - Paper'!$X:$X>=$C$3)*('[Data Ops Progress - Radio P1801-P1810.xlsx]ACBC - Paper'!$X:$X<=$C$4),'[Data Ops Progress - Radio P1801-P1810.xlsx]ACBC - Paper'!$V:$V)

unfortunately I don't know what the count should be either but I'm sure not zero or one

any help is much appreciated

If you can attach a workbook that would help.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

In order to test a formula, you do need to know what the answer should be, so you’ll need to work that out manually.

Ali makes a good point, if YOU dont know the answer, how would you know if the formula is working properly or not?
