    Conditional Format w/ Formulas Across 2 Cells

    I am trying to do a conditional format for 2 cells that contain values for different metrics. If both values are within certain parameters, then the normal format of green fill should stand for both cells. If one of the 2 values is not within the parameters, they should both turn yellow. If neither is within parameters, they should both turn red. I was trying the following rules in this order.

    =AND(A1>45,B1<0.8)
    =OR(A1>45,B1<0.8)

    Since there are 4 possibilities, I tried it on 4 test cases. There are separate rules for each of the 4 rows so that A1 and B1 in the formulas above become A2 and B2 in the 2nd row, etc. Appears to work on column A but not column B even though everything is exactly the same in both.

    Hello anigodda,

    Welcome to the Forum!

    It is always better to attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy).

    In the meantime you could try;

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Then in the Apply to box ensure it shows;

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    And drag the cell down as far as required.

    Regards.

    Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate.

    Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
