    Transpose help

    Hello,

I am trying to copy and paste blocks of data similar to the following example:

    A A A A A A
    B B B B B B
    C C C C C C

so that it will look like:

    A A A A A A B B B B B B C C C C C C

Please note that each letter represents a value in a different column.

As I have large amounts of data that need to be transformed in the above manner, is there a formula or a way to transpose the data?

    Thank you for any assistance!

    Re: Transpose help

Hi transpose. Welcome to the forum.

    One way:
With source data in A1:F3 this formula in H1 filled across until you get blanks.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Re: Transpose help

    Hi Dave,

Thanks so much for your help. I was hoping to transfer or delete the original values once they were copied into the new space. Is there a way to transfer the values without the need for source data?

    Re: Transpose help

    If I understand correctly:
Copy formula results and paste values only back unto themselves. Then delete the source data.

It should also be doable with VBA. Unfortunately I don't know enough VBA to help with that.
