I am trying to come up with a formula for this search. not sure if its a mcro or a vba or simply a formula.
i have a single workbook which contains a master list and a estimate form, i have a macro on the estimation form that creates sheet when add button is depressed,it names the created sheet as they are created using number 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 and so on and so on. i change the number 1 to a work order number eg: 123456 then the next sheet may be 784512 and so on and so on,
on the master list sheet i have a column that is titled work order, i want to be able to type in the work order, lets say 123456 have it search for that sheet named 123456 and copy certain cells from that sheet into the master list sheet. if i was to change the work order number in the master list sheet to lets say 784512 then id like it to replace the specified cells with the new information from that work order sheet.
