(Campground Reservations) How to print names across a range of dates?

Hello, I run a campground and we receive weekly spreadsheets of reservations (NEWRESERVATIONS) in the following form:

    SHEET - NEWRESERVATIONS

Site # Name Arrival Date Departure Date
    1 X 6/24 6/25
    1 Y 6/25 6/30
    2 Z 6/26 6/29
    4 Z 6/26 6/29

We use a spreadsheet (KICKBOARD) to help our rangers patrol the campground, and we want to be able to paste NEWRESERVATIONS into a an existing workbook (NEWKICKBOARD) such that the spreadsheet KICKBOARD is automatically updated. Currently, our rangers have to enter the data into KICKBOARD manually. The format of KICKBOARD is the following:

    SHEET - KICKBOARD

    Site # 6/24 6/25 6/26 6/27 6/28 6/29 6/30
    1 X Y Y Y Y Y
    2 Z Z Z
    3
    4 Z Z Z

It's worth mentioning that I have experience in MATLAB and I'm pretty sure I know exactly how to do this in MATLAB, but the company obviously doesn't have this program... I am having trouble finding courses or tutorials on the kind of matrix indexing and functions that I am used too... I would appreciate any help you can provide!

    Thanks,

    Cottonwoodcg

Re: (Campground Reservations) How to print names across a range of dates?

I have submitted several calendar files to this forum, whereby you can list activities (reservations in your case) on one sheet, and these are filled in to a calendar sheet automatically, on which you can set the month and year of interest using drop-downs. It strikes me that this is very similar to what you want, so here's a link to one example:

    https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...ta-ranges.html

There are many other examples if you search for them. I'm a bit busy tomorrow (attending a funeral), but if you have any comments/questions I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
