Dynamic range from which to use =SUMPRODUCT()

I need to check if a name falls within a validation range. For that I'm using =SUMPRODUCT(--(D2=NamedRange). Now, I need to make sure that the NamedRange has no blanks, or it screws it all up. But the data change on a frequent basis, which is usually just appending or deleting a name from the range. The range from which names may be appended or deleted is 3 columns and ~30 rows. I tried an array formula of {=INDEX($A$1:$A$10,SMALL(IF($A$1:$A$10<>"",ROW($A$1:$A$10)),ROWS($A$1:$A1)))}, but that returns #NUM ! errors whenever it is too long, and so the SUMPRODUCT() doesn't return any data, only the #NUM ! error. How can I do this?

Have you tried using a Dynamic Named Range?

If that doesn't solve try uploading a representative Excel workbook sample of what you have. Please include samples of what you have tried that does not work and hand typed examples of desired output.

If you are not familiar with how to do this:

To attach a file to your post: (Please no pics or screenshots ... saves retyping data.),

be sure to desensitize the data
click “Go Advanced” (next to Post Quick Reply – bottom right),
scroll down until you see “Manage Attachments”, click that,
click “Browse”.
select your file(s)
click “Upload”
click “Close window”
click “Submit Reply”

The file name will appear at the bottom of your reply.

I tried to do that. I click on the Attachment icon and I get a thin beige bar with no visible buttons.

If you tried the paperclip icon that hasn't worked for some time.

Follow the instructions post #2 exactly. That's the "new" way. It's never failed me yet.

There is nothing "wrong" with the named range 'tt'. The formula in column C just needs to have IFERROR wrapped around it.

Try array entering this in C1 and fill down.
