    Conditional Formatting not working properly

    Hello everyone,

I have this issue with conditional formatting not applying the rules I create correctly. I have a column with numbers varying from 10 to 35, and I'm only trying to apply two rules, one that formats the numbers greater than or equal to 30 and color them red, and the second rule that formats the numbers less than or equal to 15, and color them blue.

When I select the entire column, and try to create the rules I mentioned earlier, the entire column gets colored to red. (as if all numbers are 30+). However, if I manually overwrite some data, and type in the numbers myself inside certain cells, they will get correct formatting, meaning, if I write 10 inside the cell, it will become blue, or if I write 20, it will stay white because no formatting is applied to that.

If there is some trivial thing I'm missing out on, or in case you have an idea why this is happening, it 'd mean a lot to me.

    Thanks in advance,

    Boris

Re: Conditional Formatting now working properly

Looking at the picture, the original "numbers" have a decimal point whereas the manually typed ones have a comma instead. That would make me believe that the original numbers are actually text - where do they come from?

Original numbers come from the other excel sheet, from where I import these numbers. That's a csv. file that has been imported into excel. Was the problem there, because I imported that data as text?

However you did the import, they came through as text, probably because of the different regional settings.
