    Annoying little disappearing tab issue

    Hi There

This is not a traditional shout out for help, but is really annoying and time consuming.

I often have to copy and paste data between active workbooks and I have an issue with the tabs not showing on the taskbar. See attached pic for example. I currently have 2 workbooks open but only 1 is showing in the taskbar, so to switch between I have to minimise the one I am in and then maximise the one that is only visible when I minimise the one I am working in. This happens around 95% of the time, but occasionally both sheets will show and I can switch between effortlessly but I haven't done anything differently ?

I have taskbar set to never group and in excel advanced options have always show all windows in taskbar checked [I have unchecked saved and rechecked but to no avail]

This happens both on my home machine and work machine so I have ruled out an installation error.

Any ideas, because the constant minimising and maximising is a real pain.

    Thanks :-)

ALT / TAB works really well.

    Thanks Logit,

Will definitely try that, would be curious to know why it happens the majority of the time though. But if Alt Tab works that saves my time :-)

    .
Can't say why it occurs. My personal experience (Excel 2007 / Win10) is that Excel sometimes does what it wants for no particular reason. Luckily, it doesn't occur very often here, but I
agree, when it does ... it is frustrating.

Make sure this is checked in options...

Also, for taskbar properties make sure taskbar buttons isnt set to combine.
