    Restricting edition of password protected sheets

    I am using a password-protected sheet where people are supposed to insert values in a number of cells. Neverthelles, it is still possible to do two things I would like to block:
    • copy and paste values from other files' cells;
    • in cells, where format is restricted to whole number, people can still use hh:mm:ss format.

    How can I set it up?

    Thanks, it's good. Is it possible to modify so that copying and pasting is possible within that single file, but not from external sources?

    EDIT: somewhat solved, used the below code - blocks pasting data into column A:

    Just a heads up that any code you use to try and prevent actions like this can be easily circumvented by users. They can simply open the file with events disabled (Hold shift while opening the file (double click) until it opens). They could open Excel and just disable macros.

    Sheet protection in Excel is meant to prevent mistakes, not to act as a security feature.
