    Gamma Correction

When using some of the tools that are available with Excel involving colours, incorrect results may show up in the form of blending and averaging performed without any compensation for gamma encoding. Is it possible to counter this problem?

I very much doubt it. Which tools do you mean?

The color scale tool under conditional formatting. The shades in between become too dark.

    Re: Gamma Correction

You can adjust the end and middle shades by editing the rule and using custom colours and shades, but there is nothing as sophisticated as gamma correction.
