    Sync Excel Workbooks without Macros

    Hello,

    I have two workbooks.

    1) Master workbook with all data

    2) Subset of the master workbook

I want to sync the two workbooks so that whenever I make an update to the master, the subset gets updated too. Both the workbooks contain formatting and formulas. I want to achieve this without the use of Macros.

    Thanks in advance

    Good afternoon Tina007

Do you know how to use linked formulae?

Basically, your subset file will have to have pull all its data from the master workbook.

Your formulae may look like this :
    Formula: copy to clipboard

To do this, have both sheets open.
In the subset file, type in a cell : =SUM(
Now go to the master workbook, highlight the range you need to sum and press enter.

Without more information on the set up of your files, and what kind of formulae you are utilising, this is about as far as I can go.
