Exclamation Using Named Ranges in non-function formula

    Hello!
Bill is the name of range A1:A5.
Bob is the name of range B1:B5.
Doug is the name of range C1:C5.

    This works: =SUM(Bill, Bob, Doug).

Is there a syntax to use Named Ranges in non-function formulas? (something like =Bill+Bob+Doug)?

Thanks for your help and info!

    Regards,
    leaning

In this case, it will work if the named ranges are single cell.

    It does! Curious.

Bill is the name of range (cell) A1.
Bob is the name of range (cell) B1.
Doug is the name of range (cell) C1.
    =Bill+Bob+Doug formula works.

    Hmmmmm...
