how to freeze first column and first 20 rows!

    Hi there,

I thought it is simple as highlighting the first column and the first 20 rows then selecting view 'freeze panes' it would only freeze these.

However, it does not work. If the selected rows freeze, the column does not and vice versa.
On other occasions, more than 1 column freezes

Any idea what I am doing wrong please?

    Regards

    N

Select cell A:21 then hit freeze panes. That should work. I just tested in an open sheet. If not then I am not sure the issue.

in this case, if your data "A2" to "E20"
Go to "F21" in view tab click freeze panes, click on freeze panes.
